A Holiday Morning in Tampa

When Chris and I found out we would not be traveling home for Christmas this year, we were both a little heartbroken.  But the same day, I got an email from Kimberly asking about a session for her family over the holiday break, and I was immediately uplifted.  I would have had to turn her down had we not gotten our news earlier in the day. And Kimberly's family was adorable.  The kids have all gone off to college and were home for the holidays, and she was so excited to have everyone all together again.  They even brought along the littlest family members (Lily and Ella).

They brightened my cold morning for sure.

Thank you, Rivard Family, for braving super cold temps (and no heat inside UT!), and for overcoming such a tough morning to get to our session in the first place.  I had a wonderful time with you and I hope you love your sneak peak.

PS... Go Tigers :)

From time to time I'm lucky enough to turn my lens on old friends.  This post is for Bill and his sweet daughter Noelle.  Bill has been a friend of ours since 1999, and he and his daughter recently visited us from Philadelphia.  It was funny to see our kids playing together on the beach ~ because when Chris and I met Bill more than ten years ago, we were living in PA and complaining about the snow and cold weather.  :)  Real friendships last through new jobs, cross-country moves, relationships, marriages and the births of children.  And they are some of the most loyal and blessed friendships you can ever hope to have. I took just a few minutes one morning to grab a few images of their close daddy-daughter bond, and I couldn't help but smile behind the camera as I was watching them together.  I simply asked them to play together for a few minutes, and this is what I had the good fortune of seeing from behind my lens...

amato006 Just melts my heart.  He's so good with her, and she obviously adores him in return.  Bill and Noelle, thank you for flying in to see us for Chris' birthday.  It made his day, and ours.  Miss you all!!

such a beautiful family, inside and out

I met this super-sweet family a few weeks back at Honeymoon Island, and we had such a fun time together!

I loved how relaxed these two were the whole session.  I tell ya, it makes my job soooo much easier!

These beautiful parents have five gorgeous kids.  Who were just about the funniest, most playful, and most well-mannered kids I'd ever seen.  Well, even if a few of them are practically grown-ups themselves.  ;)

Thanks, guys, for such a fun evening at the beach!  And for playing along with all of my wacky ideas.  :)  I hope you enjoy these!
